Happy New Year 2026: Resolutions or Kaizen, which path to choose?

Happy New Year 2026 !

 

May this new year bring you joy, serenity, optimism… and above all, good health—because without it, nothing else truly matters.

 

The start of a new year is often synonymous with resolutions. Promises we make to ourselves, filled with motivation, yet often forgotten just weeks later.

 

Over time, I’ve learned to move away from this approach. Instead of trying to reinvent myself overnight, I prefer reconnecting with my deeper goals and gently adjusting my daily habits to move closer to them.

 

This is why I resonate so deeply with the philosophy of Kaizen—the Japanese art of continuous improvement. Small, consistent steps. Subtle changes. Yet incredibly powerful over time.

 

Because real progress begins with honest self-awareness.

 

Accepting both our strengths and our limitations allows us to build strategies that truly fit who we are, instead of chasing an idealized version of ourselves.
